Summary

Introduced with the Customs Tariff Amendment (Australia-Chile Free Trade Agreement Implementation) Bill 2008 to give effect to Australia's obligations under the Australia-Chile Free Trade Agreement, the bill amends the

Customs Act 1901
to: provide preferential rates of duty for Chilean originating goods; and impose certain obligations on Australian exporters and producers of goods who claim preferential tariff treatment.
